Prior to 2013, CAST Cellars functioned as a production vineyard selling grapes to neighboring wineries, rather than producing wine under its own label. Today the CAST facilities include a tasting room/visitor’s center, a wine cave, gardens, two outdoor patios, and the “beach,” a 2500-square-foot decomposed gravel event terrace. The beach is a multi-function space for large community events, weddings and anniversaries, car shows, and frequent pétanque (boules) matches. These activities take place under the shade of the “grey palm,” an old and beautiful Phoenix dactylifera: Date Palm.
