Na Wang, PLA, joined SWA in 2018 after earning her Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She also holds degrees in Urban Planning and Economics from Peking University, providing a multidisciplinary foundation that informs her approach to shaping resilient, people-centered environments.

Na’s experience spans landscape architecture, urban design, and planning across North America, the Middle East, and Asia. Her portfolio includes public waterfronts, parks and trails, university campuses, mixed-use developments, and large-scale urban regeneration projects. Throughout her career, she has guided projects from visionary concepts through technical design and implementation. In 2024, Na led SWA Houston’s Summer Internship Program, guiding a team of emerging designers in developing the Houston Cool Loop Vision Plan. The program helped establish the foundation for Houston’s Cool & Connected Corridors project, creating a replicable model for adapting downtown environments to extreme heat and advancing climate resilience.

Na views landscape architecture as more than the practice of shaping environments—it is a way of redefining the relationship between people and the land. She believes landscape is more than what we see; it is the spatial order that emerges from the interaction of natural systems, urban development, and human experience. By respecting natural processes, responding to cultural context, and integrating urban systems, she creates resilient public landscapes that strengthen ecological performance, reinforce cultural identity, and enrich everyday life.
