Nick Rael, an Associate Principal in SWA’s Los Angeles office, developed an appreciation for natural and constructed landscapes following his upbringing in Denver, Colorado. His designs aim to create spaces that enable people to live and interact, positively impacting everyday experiences and benefiting the surrounding communities. He has a strong passion for design, with an emphasis on construction implementation, overseeing and guiding projects to success.

Since he joined SWA, Nick has been instrumental in several corporate and higher education projects. For the Walmart Home Office Campus, Nick led the review of technical drawings and site observation, and for a collection of projects at the University of California, San Diego, he stepped into the role of project manager, overseeing aspects of the design, technical review, and construction observation.
