Associate Principals

Qiaoqi Dai
Landscape Designer, Los Angeles
Qiaoqi Dai works on landscape architecture and urban design projects across the United States, China, the Middle East, and Europe, with a focus on waterfronts and public open space. His notable projects include Pazhou South Waterfront Park, Nelson Mandela Park, and Dubai Creek Harbor. He was the recipient of a Patrick T. Curran Fellowship, in which he examined disparities in urban heat exposure and explored design approaches for equitable climate resilience.

Alfred DeWitt
Landscape Designer, Sausalito
Since joining the Sausalito studio, Alfred has been involved with work at his alma mater, UC Davis, and within the City of Davis—introducing him to large-scale site planning and public process. These opportunities gave him the chance to contribute to the design of different project types, from streetscapes and trail networks to mixed-use retail and recreation centers. Of great interest to Al is the range of programming and amenities offered in mixed-use projects, and how they have evolved to emphasize multi-generational activities that bring the community together. In the last few years, his work has expanded into the private sector, with a series of hotel and resort projects.

Andrew Gressett
Landscape Designer, Houston
Andrew joined the firm in 2017 after earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Houston. As a designer, Andrew works across public, civic, and institutional landscapes — from parks and trails to sports stadiums and museums, and down to all of the site objects and furnishings within a project. He has completed two Patrick T. Curran Fellowships, first exploring how landscape architects can design with sound in public spaces, and later focusing on advancing computational design methods within a landscape architecture practice. Both fellowships reflect his ongoing interest in expanding how designers can use technology to shape the way we experience the public realm.

Na Wang, PLA
Landscape Architect, Houston
Na joined SWA in 2018 after earning her Master of Landscape Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her experience spans landscape architecture, urban design, and planning across North America, the Middle East, and Asia. In 2024, Na led SWA Houston’s Summer Internship Program, guiding a team of emerging designers in developing the Houston Cool Loop Vision Plan. The program helped establish the foundation for Houston’s Cool & Connected Corridors, a replicable model for adapting downtown environments to extreme heat.

Jonah Susskind
Director of Climate Strategy, Corporate
As Director of Climate Strategy, Jonah leads SWA’s decarbonization efforts, overseeing the implementation and advancement of the firm’s Climate Action Plan. Additionally, Jonah directs applied research related to wildfire risk mitigation, coastal resilience, and climate adaptation. He has held research and teaching appointments at MIT and the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Before joining SWA, he directed research at MIT’s Leventhal Center for Advanced Urbanism.

Xinye Zheng, PLA
Landscape Architect, Houston
Xinye’s work spans public art, placemaking, urban design, and regional planning, with a consistent focus on revealing the unique character and untapped potential of each place. Her perspective has been shaped by the diverse urban environments where she has lived and worked. From public parks to luxury resorts, Xinye combines artistic intuition with strategic and analytical thinking, translating complex systems into tactile, memorable experiences.
