Julie Canter, PLA, ASLA, LEED AP BD+C, WEDG
Julie Canter is a professional landscape architect with over 15 years’ experience leading complex mixed-use, waterfront, and infrastructure projects within the United States and abroad. Julie brings strategic thinking, design vision, and knowledge of constructability to the overall management of the New York studio, as well as her project work, which spans both the public and private sector and often addresses dense urban environments.
Julie’s previous projects, as a partner at PWP Landscape Architecture, include Jewel Changi Airport and Marina Bay Sands IR, as well as Constitution Gardens on the National Mall. In all of her work, Julie is focused on creating resilient, immersive environments that modulate space between large-scale architectural and urban moves and the pedestrian-scaled environment, creating places where people can play, relax, reflect, and enjoy. She is both LEED and WEDG accredited, and strives to design and implement sustainable and resilient systems within contemporary design.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Cornell University, with a duel concentration in Wetland Ecology and Art and Architectural History, as well as a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania School of Design.
