The Corporate South Campus had ambitious hopes for this ‘80s-era corporate campus, desiring to update its spaces and replace lawns and trees, and also to provide more energized and usable spaces to attract employees with new activities. The first of the project’s three phases updated the West Lobby landscape with new seating and landscape, while the second addressed the streetscape. The more involved third phase included updating the south landscape and perimeter road, along with three of the larger courtyards. The courtyards, once just grass and trees, now include large event lawns, a variety of seating areas, trellises, and activity spaces for table tennis, bocce, and volleyball. An oversized chess board and pieces have proven popular. Landscape and hardscape renovations were undertaken while the facility was still in use, and feature substantial upgrades, with an emphasis on native species and stormwater management.
